2021 Fall Mini Session Planning Guide

I’m so excited that you have booked a Fall Mini Session with me!  We are going to have fun and I look forward to creating beautiful images for your family to cherish!

Spring Lake Park Reserve – Hastings MN

*Please plan on arriving a few minutes early so we can start shooting right at your scheduled start time. I usually do a few mini sessions back to back so being a little early allows your family to have the entire allotted 20 minutes and won’t take away from valuable shooting time.

Exact meeting location details will be added to this page as the date approaches, so please check back.

It’s best to keep the coordinating simple. Try not to overthink it.  I recommend picking 2-3 complementary colors and carry them throughout your outfits.

This time of year, the weather can be unpredictable, however we will plan to go ahead with your photos regardless of temperature.  The only time we will reschedule is if it is raining during your scheduled time frame.  I recommend wearing extra layers for cold days. You can bring jackets along or a big warm blanket for a quick warmup in between shots.

*Don’t forget to choose something that your family will feel good in!  It will shine through in your photos!  CLICK HERE FOR IDEAS

I would recommend bringing a blanket to sit on for some poses if you choose.

-If you have young children who may not want to take photos, a tiny treat as a reward can sometimes work well (something that can be eaten quickly between photos and is not messy such as mini marshmallows or smarties that dissolve fast).

1. Plan outfits in advance.
2. Get plenty of rest.
3. Make sure children are well fed.
4. Don’t forget the props (a blanket to sit on for some poses is recommended) or anything else you’d like to incorporate.
5. Arrive early so we can start shooting right at your appointment time.
6. Have fun!
7. Watch for a sneak peek on Facebook within 24 hours.

I am looking forward to our time together!  It’s going to be fun! Have a last minute question or concern?  Feel free to text or call me!  612-440-3031
